Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Bon Manger app and website (“the service”). By using the service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You need an account to use the service. You must meet the minimum age to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
2. The service
Bon Manger lets you save restaurants and dishes, organise them with tags, notes, and lists, find them again, co-own lists with others, and share read-only lists via a web link. We may change or improve features over time.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create (places, dishes, notes, tags, lists, and images you add). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate the service for you — including showing it to members of lists you co-own and to anyone with a read-only link you create. We don’t use your content for advertising and we don’t sell it.
4. Third-party content and acceptable use
The service lets you save links and images that may originate from third parties (e.g. social posts, web pages). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to save, store, and share the content you add, and for how you share links you create. You agree not to use the service to:
- infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy;
- upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
- attempt to access other users’ private data, or to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Takedown. If you’re a rights-holder and believe content was stored or displayed without authorisation, contact hello@bonmanger.app and we’ll review and remove it promptly.
5. Subscriptions and billing (when premium is offered)
Premium features may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID via Apple’s In-App Purchase. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings — Apple processes all billing, renewals, and refunds; we cannot. Prices and trial terms are shown before you purchase.
6. Sharing
Read-only share links let anyone with the link view a list without an account. Don’t share links containing content you don’t want seen by their recipients. You can revoke a link at any time in the app.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis without guarantees of uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service or its users.
9. Disclaimers and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable rights you have where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we’ll change the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
